The business environment at ESE, Inc. is engaged and purposeful during the year, so it can be challenging to pause for a moment and reflect. Now is a good time to look back and take stock of the opportunities, changes and successes experienced as we enter the final month of the year.
All of us at ESE started 2018 with a successful CSIA recertification. We were grateful for the opportunity to be one of 12 integrators chosen to participate in the beta program (utilizing updated certification standards). Recertification was a rigorous process, and it kicked off a year of continuous improvement initiatives for our company.
As part of these initiatives, ESE was recertified in 3A Sanitary Standards and we continue to practice developing sanitary solutions with these standards in mind. Project management was also a focus for improvement. We installed a Director of Project Management, and added to our project management team, bringing continuous improvement initiatives to action. Project management plays a critical role in delivering results to our customers. This past year, we were challenged with producing several complex solutions. Our updated project management team created synergy between ESE’s knowledgeable sales and engineering teams. This allowed us to exceed expectations, all while nurturing meaningful partnerships with our food and beverage customers.
Our sales team exhibited at the 2018 International Cheese Technology Exposition (ICTE) in Milwaukee with a focus on improving legacy technology and facility modernization. Events like ICTE illustrate our drive to work with world class companies as solution providers and partners in developing improvement and profitability.
ESE also implemented a new customer resource management system for increasing business efficiency. We are completing the first of three phases with our new CRM program to offer more streamlined internal procedures and a more environmentally conscious plan to use less paper. It’s exciting to push forward with this plan!
In 2018, ESE made conscious steps to continually improve and lead by example.
- We were interviewed and published in several industry trade periodicals (check out our blogs!).
- We were certified as a system integrator and proudly display our achievements.
- We took steps in our internal structure to improve our processes.
- We learned new skills to add to our solutions as experts in the industry.
2018 was a great year and we look forward to a fantastic 2019 working with our customers to increase their profits, improve customer safety and reduce downtime in their plants.
